Penne Contadina

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. penne cooked until al dente
  • 6 oz pancetta diced
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage removed from casing
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2-3 tablespoons of fennel seed
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic finely chopped
  • 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes with basil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Cook pasta until al dente drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile heat extra virgin olive oil over medium high heat in a sauté pan add pancetta and cook until brown then immediately add sausage and crumble with back of wooden spoon.
