Jordan grew up in New York City, studied cognitive neuroscience at Harvard University, and then moved to Hollywood to pursue a career in acting for several years before returning to the city to explore her true passions: cooking, entertaining, home decor, DIY projects, and advice for couples in committed relationships. She appears on MSNBC, VH1, and other domestically and internationally syndicated news and entertainment programs, and produces her own webcasts, 'Domestic Bliss with Jordan Reid', and 'Ramshackle Glam with Jordan Reid'.
