Burrata Recipe

Fast Recipe Ingredients:

1 ball  Burrata

  • Best EVOO you can find
  • Aged balsamic- the real stuff or a balsamic glaze
  • Crusty bread
  • Coarse Sea salt
  • Cracked black pepper

Directions:

Plate the cheese on a plate and season with salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil. Drizzle balsamic to top.  Eat with crusty, toasted bread!

Fancy:

Burarata with heirloom tomatoes, whole tapenade and grilled bread (as served at Marble Lane)

1 ball  Burrata

  • Best EVOO you can find

  • Crusty bread for grilling

1 lb Heirloom tomato(s)

  • Coarse Sea salt
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Fresh basil chiffonade

Whole tapenade Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pitted mixed olives, just very roughly cut
  • 2 anchovy fillets, mashed into a paste
  • 1 small clove garlic, chopped fine
  • 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed
  • 2 to 3 fresh basil leaves, chiffonade
  • About 25 leaves parsley, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Directions:
  1. Take a long slice of bread about 1 inch thick. 
  2. Dress w EVOO and S and P and place on a grill to toast. 
  3. Large Dice the tomato.  Toss w basil, salt, pepper and evoo. 
  4. Place the bread on a plate, top with tomato mixture. 
  5. Place Burrata on top of bread/tomatoes. 
  6. Season with salt, pepper, evoo, place tapenade around the bread on the plate with a spoon to garnish the dish. 
  7. Dress with balsamic.  Enjoy!
