I take my fashion cues from my body. When I buy pieces that flatter my body as opposed to being trendy, I always look great and receive lots of compliments.
My 33 year old daughter has been fashion savvy since she was 2. And now she is almost scientific in her approach to fashion. It’s not just about what is fashionable or trendy but how a certain, boot, bag or clothing item makes you look and feel your best. Amazing how a jean color can lengthen your leg or narrow a mid section if you know what you are doing!
I take my fashion cues from anyone with a classic look. Not to say that I “copy” anyones particular look, I have a look all my own. However, classic fashion is beautiful and lasting. You can mix a new “classic” find with an existing classic piece and have a totally “new” outfit. And classic never goes out of style!
Sandi has it right. We take our cues for fashion from our selves. We dont need people to tell us what to wear. I like what I like and know one can say what is going to look good on me because I am not a bag of bones model. The problem I have is that most of the time I stand and look at the clothes lines and say where or what were they thinking when they made that or bought that for the stores to sell to us.
I do not take fashion cues from anyone. I don’t need anyone telling me what I should wear. I wear what I like and what is comfortable for me. People who need someone else to tell them what to wear can’t think for them selves.
