The world of dating has changed. If you're not texting, you might be missing out.
Flirting via text, also known as "Flirtexting", is the first step in dating for many young people.
The authors of the new "Flirtexting" book said it's the ideal way to make contact and let someone know you are interested. But there are rules.
"For texting tips, we give you the three T's," said co-author Debra Goldstein. "Timing. Don't be speedy in your response. The next one is thought. You have 160 characters to be thoughtful and we encourage you to do so. And last, texting plans. If you're going to flirtext as much as we do, then you're going to need an unlimited texting plan."
Fun fact: Three and a half billion text messages are sent every day.
